Elbow Pain – Common and Varied

Elbow pain is not uncommon and can be caused by a variety of conditions. Two of the most frequent causes are “tennis elbow” and nerve entrapment syndrome.

Common Causes and Symptoms

  • Tennis Elbow:
Typical symptoms include pain on the outside of the elbow, often caused by overuse. The pain may worsen when making a fist or extending the wrist. It often radiates into the forearm or upper arm, affecting overall arm movement.

  • Nerve Entrapment Syndrome:
This condition leads to sensory disturbances (tingling or numbness) and pain on the inner side of the hand. The symptoms are caused by nerve compression in the elbow region.

Treatment Options
In our specialised consultation, we offer:

  • Conservative Therapies: Physiotherapy, targeted injections, and stabilisation techniques to relieve symptoms.

  • Surgical Procedures: Gentle interventions to treat inflammation or nerve entrapment syndromes.
